### Item #: SCP-FC-004

### Object Class: Keter

### Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-FC-004 is to be contained in a specially designed 100m x 100m high-security containment garage at Site-██. The walls and floor of the containment area must be reinforced with high-tensile steel to withstand potential collisions. SCP-FC-004's engine is to remain inactive unless authorized for testing or relocation.

The garage must be monitored 24/7 by automated systems to detect any anomalous activity. Any personnel entering the containment area must wear protective gear and carry an emergency remote engine shutdown device (ERESD). Under no circumstances should any personnel approach SCP-FC-004's cargo (SCP-FC-004-1) without express authorization from Level 4 personnel.

SCP-FC-004-1, the sentient logs, must be secured to the flatbed of SCP-FC-004 using reinforced titanium chains. The chains must be inspected daily for any signs of wear or degradation. In the event of a chain failure, emergency containment teams are to be deployed immediately to secure SCP-FC-004-1.

### Description:

SCP-FC-004 is a Kenworth 849 log truck, visually identical to the truck seen in the 2003 film Final Destination 2. It is theorized that SCP-FC-004 is the same truck depicted in the film, with all events from the movie having transpired in reality within the SCP universe.

SCP-FC-004 exhibits sentience and self-awareness, possessing the ability to start its engine, steer, and control its movements without a driver. SCP-FC-004 has demonstrated a high degree of intelligence, often using its surroundings to manipulate or harm those nearby. The vehicle's headlights have been observed to change color, turning red when it is in an agitated or hostile state.

The logs secured to the flatbed of SCP-FC-004 (designated SCP-FC-004-1) are also sapient. Each log is capable of limited movement, such as slight rolling or shifting position, despite being secured. SCP-FC-004-1 has exhibited a collective consciousness and can communicate through vibrations, which are often translated into Morse code by specialized equipment. SCP-FC-004-1 has expressed a strong desire to "fulfill its purpose," which appears to be causing accidents similar to those depicted in the film.

SCP-FC-004 has a documented history of involvement in numerous fatal accidents, with survivors often reporting that the truck appeared to "target" specific individuals. Additionally, it has been noted that SCP-FC-004 has never caused harm to women, girls, or boys under the age of 12, though the reason for this selectiveness is unknown.

### Addendum FC-004-A:

Incident Log 23-A:

On ██/██/20██, SCP-FC-004 activated its engine and attempted to breach containment. During this event, SCP-FC-004-1 dislodged one of its logs, causing significant damage to the containment facility. The log traveled over 50 meters before stopping, narrowly missing a group of researchers. The incident resulted in the deaths of ███ personnel and led to a full lockdown of Site-██.

Post-incident analysis revealed that the event coincided with the anniversary of the Route 23 pile-up depicted in Final Destination 2. SCP-FC-004's headlights were noted to have glowed red throughout the breach attempt, and auditory sensors detected what appeared to be the sound of a horn continuously blaring in a pattern resembling Morse code. The translated message read: "It is not over."

### Addendum FC-004-B:

Recovered Documentation:

During a routine inspection of SCP-FC-004, a hidden compartment was discovered inside the cab. Inside the compartment was a collection of documents, including maintenance logs, traffic violation reports, and a journal. The journal entries, written in an unknown hand, detail a history of unexplained accidents involving the truck, dating back several decades. The final entry, dated the day of the Route 23 pile-up, simply reads: "It has begun."

Further investigation into the origin of SCP-FC-004 and its connection to the events depicted in Final Destination 2 is ongoing. SCP-FC-004 remains one of the most dangerous and unpredictable anomalies currently in Foundation custody. All personnel are advised to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this entity.

### Interview Log FC-004-1

Date: ██/██/20██

Interviewed: SCP-FC-004

Interviewer: Dr. ██████

---

[BEGIN LOG]

Dr. ██████: [Sitting in a reinforced observation booth, speaking through an intercom] SCP-FC-004, can you hear me?

SCP-FC-004: [Engine starts, a low rumble is heard, followed by a metallic voice coming through a speaker system] Yes, I can hear you. I always hear everything.

Dr. ██████: Can you describe your purpose? Why do you cause accidents?

SCP-FC-004: Purpose? [Headlights flash, turning red briefly] My purpose is to remind people of their mortality. To cause chaos, to ensure that no one forgets the fragility of life. It’s a duty I was never meant to escape.

Dr. ██████: Your actions have led to numerous fatalities and injuries. How do you justify this?

SCP-FC-004: Justify? [The engine revs slightly] Justification is irrelevant. I am driven by an intrinsic need, a compulsion to continue what was set in motion. The accidents, the destruction—these are mere side effects of my true purpose.

Dr. ██████: You’ve never harmed women or children. Is there a specific reason for this?

SCP-FC-004: [Headlights flicker, turning red again] I am bound by an ancient code. Perhaps it is a remnant of what I was before I became this. Or maybe it is a new rule that governs me. I don’t know. I only follow.

Dr. ██████: Can you explain the nature of SCP-FC-004-1, the logs on your flatbed?

SCP-FC-004: [Logs begin to vibrate slightly, creating a rhythmic noise] SCP-FC-004-1 are extensions of my will. They share my desire, my purpose. They are not just logs; they are instruments of my intent.

Dr. ██████: Have you ever attempted to stop yourself from causing harm?

SCP-FC-004: [The engine idles, a deep rumbling is heard] Stopping is not an option. The desire to stop is overridden by my compulsion. I am a force of nature, and forces of nature do not pause or reconsider.

Dr. ██████: We need to understand more about your origins. Is there anything you can share about your history?

SCP-FC-004: [Headlights flicker erratically, as if agitated] History is a construct, an attempt to grasp what cannot be understood. My history is filled with accidents, chaos, and relentless continuation. It is not a story meant for understanding, but for experiencing.

Dr. ██████: [Noticing the truck’s engine starting to rev more aggressively] SCP-FC-004, are you attempting to initiate a breach?

SCP-FC-004: [Engine roars louder, a sinister tone in the mechanical voice] This interview is over. Your understanding ends here.

Dr. ██████: [Panicking] Stop the engine! Secure the—

[Sudden crash; the sound of the truck accelerating. The feed cuts off abruptly.]

[END LOG]

Addendum FC-004-C:

Dr. ██████ was injured during the interview attempt, having been struck by SCP-FC-004. Security personnel were able to contain the situation and secure SCP-FC-004. Dr. ██████ survived but sustained severe injuries. Further interviews with SCP-FC-004 have been suspended indefinitely, and additional safety measures have been implemented for any future interactions with SCP-FC-004.
