Pam Smith is a mentioned character in the film The Final Destination. She was a visionary who foresaw the death of her husband, who was a pilot. After her husband died, she somehow became related to Brian Gibbons' death in The Lakeview Fire and met a police officer named Craig Perry.

Biography

Pam had neither been back to Lakeview nor seen Officer Perry since Brian's death.

Three years after Brian's death, Pam stops at Jared's Hardware on North Way for directions. Moments later, an unknown suspect in a black mask robs Jared's at gunpoint. Though no one was harmed, Pam was asked to stay and give her statement to the police. The reporting police was Officer Perry. According to eyewitnesses, after taking her statement, Officer Perry chatted with Pam outside the store. But not long, both Pam and Officer Perry were killed in unknown circumstances, which the local law enforcement could only describe as "an unfortunate accident".

Trivia

• Her and Craig's deaths are based on the unused deaths of Kimberly Corman and Thomas Burke in Final Destination 3, which could imply she possibly died in a wood chipper, although that is not confirmed.
• Pam is the second known visionary who didn't see her own death in her premonition and was therefore not supposed to die during the impending disaster. The first was Kate Shelley.
  • She is also the second known visionary to have a premonition in which the visionary was not present; the first was Kate, and the third was Nick O'Bannon.
  • The idea that premonitions are shown to visionaries who aren't meant to die yet is explored in early drafts of Final Destination, most notably in its earliest form as a spec script for the TV series The X-Files.
