This unnamed individual is a woman who accompanied a man suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease on Volée Airlines Flight 180. She and the man both died when the flight exploded midair shortly after takeoff from John F. Kennedy International Airport.

- In the movie, the relation between her and the Lou Gehrig's sufferer is never revealed. She could be his wife, sister, or simply his caretaker. In spite of that, it is stated she is the mother of the man in the novel, but it is consider non-canon.
