Final Destination 3
Kevin at Devil's Flight.
Kevin visited the carnival for his senior class field trip with his girlfriend Carrie, best friend Jason, and Jason's girlfriend Wendy Christensen. When they board Devil's Flight, Wendy has a premonition that the ride will crash, killing everyone on board. When she panics, a fight ensues between Kevin and classmate Lewis Romero. As a result, they are thrown off the ride along with several others, shortly before the ride crashes as Wendy predicted, killing the remaining passengers, including Carrie and Jason. After the deaths of Carrie and Jason, Kevin tells Wendy about Volée Airlines Flight 180 and how the survivors will die just as they did, but she refuses to listen to him and drives off.

Following Ashley Freund's and Ashlyn Halperin's deaths, Wendy and Kevin begin to try to save the remaining survivors. They are almost killed by a runaway truck at a drive-through, but they escape just in time and witness Frankie Cheeks' demise. They fail to save Lewis and Erin Ulmer, but manage to save Ian McKinley.
When Wendy discovers that her sister Julie was also on the roller coaster, she informs Kevin, who manages to save her as well. Although the person who was sitting next to her on the roller coaster, Perry Malinowski, is killed moments later. Kevin is almost killed in a grill explosion, but Wendy pulls him away at the last second. Following these events, they are confronted by Ian. Suddenly, a cart of fireworks goes off in their direction, but Kevin, Wendy, and Julie duck, and they hit a nearby cherry picker instead, which falls and crushes Ian in half as Wendy, Julie, and Kevin watch in horror.
Death
Kevin is mangled between Train 081 and the tunnel wall
Five months later, Kevin coincidentally reunites with Wendy and Julie on a subway trainwhile on his way to a football game. Suddenly, the train comes off its track, throwing everyone to the ground. During the chaos, Kevin is thrown against a cracked window and is unable to move as it slowly grows weaker. The window finally breaks open, and Kevin is jettisoned outside and violently ground into bloody bits between the train and the tunnel wall.
Kevin pulls the emergency brake.
However, it is revealed to be only a premonition. Kevin notices that a single tear drips from Wendy's eye after she has her vision. Kevin asks Wendy what's wrong and quickly realizes what is about to happen. He pulls the emergency brakes, but to no avail, to stop the train. Wendy and Julie try to pull open the train door to escape before the screen cuts to black, followed by the sound of screeching metal.
Final Destination 3 - Kevin's Death
Signs/Clues
Death's First Attempt
- Kevin's photo shows when Wendy flashed the camera at his face, with him recoiling at the flash. This makes it look as if something blew up in his face.
Kevin's photo as to how he will die.
Death's Second Attempt
- Kevin's photo shows when Wendy flashed the camera at Kevin's face, with him recoiling at the flash. This pose is similar to how his face was pressed against a window.
- In Wendy's premonition of the Train 081 derailment, the upper half of Kevin's body gets mangled first when he gets thrown out of the train before the rest of him is crushed to bits. This is somewhat similar to what happens in Wendy's premonition of the Devil's Flight derailment, where Kevin is bisected at the waist by a broken support beam.
- While looking in the mirror, Wendy noticed the train's number. Backwards, it read 180.
- Wendy received several reminders of the deaths of the other Devil's Flight survivors.
- Wendy saw a sign advertising the drive-through restaurant where Frankie died.
- One of the men boarding the train was bald and sported a white and red tattoo, with the tattoo on the left side of his head - which made him eerily look like Frankie Cheeks when he died.
- Wendy saw a sign advertising the store where Erin died.
- Wendy saw a sign advertising the tanning salon where Ashley and Ashlyn died.
- On the train, there is a sign advertising 'Slushee: Totally Cool', the drink Ashley and Ashlyn were drinking.
- Some people in the train were cheering for the Bruins, the rival team of The Sultans, the football team that Lewis wanted to play for.
- Wendy sees a sign stating, There is no escaping DEATH and taxes.
- The voice of the mortician from the first two movies played the conductor on the train.
- The train conductor menacingly stated, "The next stop is the end of the line."
- A subway musician started singing "Turn Around, Look At Me," which was a recurring song in the movie.
- Throughout the movie, Kevin asks Wendy if his death is painful or embarrassing. If the premonition had occurred, he would have died a very excruciating death.
- In one scene, Kevin checks with Wendy if it's safe for him to drive, and if she has any photos of him "pressed against the windscreen" - when he dies on the train, he is pressed against the window.
- In Train 081, the sign says not to lean on the glass, which hints at Kevin's death.
- On the train, there is a sign saying, "Today might be your lucky day".
- In an alternate ending in the Choose Their Fate special feature, Wendy observes the train schedule and notices the last stop says END in bold, red letters.

Trivia
- Wendy and Kevin would sit behind Ashley and Ashlyn if Frankie hadn't arrived earlier.
- If that happened and Wendy had the vision anyway, Kevin would be the likely fourth victim of Death.
- Wendy, Kevin, and Julie survive in the novelization of Final Destination 3. However, it should be noted that this may be because the novel ends before the train derailment from the movie occurs.
- In an alternate ending, the derailment happens, and Kevin is filleted to death, and all the survivors die, and then the credits roll.
- There is strong controversy about Wendy, Kevin, and Julie's deaths. There's a slight possibility that the train stopped after several attempts by Kevin, but this is highly doubtful. Not only that, but since it just so happens Kevin's on the same train Wendy and Julie are on, it would be a great opportunity for Death to finish them in one shot. Of course, it could be that Death had arranged for Wendy, Julie, and Kevin to be on the same train. Also, since no one but Kimberly Corman and Thomas Burke has managed to successfully cheat Death in any of the Final Destination films, the fact that Kevin, Julie, and Wendy didn't die is unlikely.
- On the other hand, the train is heard screeching to a stop much sooner than it did in Wendy's premonition, which means, unless Death cheated (like sending a tire flying out of a stadium in The Final Destination), it would be rather inconceivable for them to have died. It has been proven that even the slightest alteration can affect a person's fate: Jonathan Groves survived the crash at McKinley Speedway simply because he did not change seats, as he was intended to. It is perfectly logical to believe that the attempt to stop the train could have changed their fates as well.
- The strange fact about Kevin, Wendy, and Julie's deaths is that, usually, if at the end of the movie it is unknown whether the survivors lived or not, in the next movie, their fates are revealed. At the end of Final Destination, it is unknown whether Alex, Clear, and Carter survive, but their fates are revealed in the next movie. The same goes for the fate of Kimberly and Officer Burke in Final Destination 2. Their fates are revealed in Final Destination 3 in a newspaper article in Choose Their Fate. Yet, Wendy, Kevin, and Julie's deaths aren't mentioned in The Final Destination.
- Kevin was named after the scanning and recording worker in the film.
- Zac Efron originally auditioned for the role of Kevin but turned it down because he was busy with High School Musical at the time.
- In the script of Final Destination 3, Kevin is described as: KEVIN FISCHER, 18, is the jock linebacker class clown. Actually, he has a sharper sense of humor than most athletes. Not as handsome as Jason, Kevin's no slouch, either.
- Kevin used to own a gray 1990 GMC Sierra, which was destroyed by being rear-ended by a driverless truck; its engine flew out, and the engine fan killed Frankie.
- His vision death won the Primo Premonition award in Dead Meat’s Final Destination 3 Killcount.
