Jimmy is a character in the novel Final Destination: End of the Line. He is an employee at a restaurant in a zoo in New York City and is an ex-convict who worked as a short order chef after he was released. He worked at the restaurant for a month, earning minimum wage until one day, a fire started at the restaurant. Not wanting to lose his only job or apartment (and not wanting to get caught up in a robbery orchestrated by his "friend" Cal) Jimmy runs over to the sink and fills a pot with water. It wasn't until after he threw the water that he knew he should never extinguish an oil fire with water. As a result, the fire grew and the store began to burn down, leading to Jimmy and the other people in the restaurant (excluding Peter Hoffman) to run outside for cover.
