The Chinese Orderly is a character in the film The Final Destination. He is a nurse in a hospital in McKinley, Pennsylvania. As his name implies, he is of Chinese descent.

The Final Destination

This Orderly was taking care of an elderly patient, Mr. Suby, while Nick O'Bannon and George Lanter were going inside the hospital, looking for Jonathan Groves. He was preparing Mr. Suby's physical therapy and was filling up a large tub to lift him in with a geriatric device he was suspended on, as Suby seemed to be unable to enter it himself, as well as somewhat unwilling. Suby, a veteran of the Korean War, grumpily asks why he was even helping him, commenting that he killed many Koreans during his military service, mistaking the Orderly as being Korean. The Orderly shrugs it off and corrects the old man that he was from China, but Suby scoffs at this, stating that he sees no difference. A nurse then appears from the corridor and tells the Orderly that they need him somewhere else immediately. The Orderly promptly leaves the room and assures him that he'll be lifted in later, but accidentally leaves the bathtub faucet running.

Suby, unable to reach the tap, helplessly watches as the container, already filled to the brim, starts to overflow. He yells for assistance, but the room muffles his pleas for the already inattentive staff passing his room. The bathtub ends up flooding the floor and seeps into the room below, housing Jonathan, who was recovering from the wounds he sustained during the McKinley Speedway disaster. The room's tenant, having noticed the dripping, attempts to crawl to safety, but ends up positioning himself directly underneath the bath and is crushed by the bath when it breaks through the upper floor, along with a cascade of water, just as Nick and George open his room, who witness the event in horror.

He isn't seen again, leaving it uncertain whether he was reprimanded for his inattentiveness.

• Because he was the main reason for Jonathan Groves’ death, the orderly can be a servant of Death, albeit inadvertently.
