• There is a major discrepancy in The Final Destination, where Brian is claimed to have been a survivor of a disaster called the Lakeview fire (possibly an explanation for Death targeting him in Final Destination 2), even though he is explicitly shown to have died after Rory intervened in his planned death after a car crash involving the survivors of the Route 23 pileup. This is most likely a mistake by the prop designers, though another explanation is that the Brian shown is a different person entirely.
  • To further add to the contradiction from the fourth film, the Lakeview Fire is said to have occurred in 2003, whereas the entirety of the second film is suggested to take place in 2001. Because of this inconsistency, the named Brian Gibbons in the fourth film is an entirely different person.
